About Us

The building at 3650 Dixie Hwy has seen a lot. Long-time locals remember it as a Howard Johnson restaurant back in the 1960s. Today it stands as one of Waterford Township's most welcoming gathering places, and if you haven't been inside yet, you're overdue for a visit. Members who finally got their invitation describe the same reaction: genuine surprise at how beautiful the interior is, how friendly the crowd is, and how good the food turns out to be.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has been one of America's most enduring fraternal organizations since 1868, built on four pillars: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. This lodge carries that mission into everyday Waterford life, supporting local veterans, youth programs, and community fundraisers throughout the year. A 4.8-star rating across member and guest reviews tells its own story about the culture here.

From lively "Show Me the Money" game nights that pack the room to intimate receptions held in a space guests call absolutely beautiful, this lodge offers something most venues can't: a genuine sense of belonging the moment you walk through the door.

What We Offer

Game nights at this lodge are the real deal. "Show Me the Money" draws a crowd every week, a card-based game with real cash prizes that members describe as bingo with a serious upgrade. The energy in the room on those nights is something you have to experience to believe.

Beyond the games, the lodge is a fully capable event venue for small receptions, private parties, milestone celebrations, and organizational meetings. The historic architecture gives any gathering an elevated feel without the elevated price tag of a hotel ballroom. Catering through the lodge kitchen has earned consistent praise from guests who weren't expecting much and left genuinely impressed.

Membership itself opens the door to community service opportunities, social events, and a network of Elks lodges across the country. Whether you're a veteran, a longtime Waterford resident, or someone new to the area looking for connection, the lodge welcomes inquiries from prospective members year-round.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
